BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Virginia Beach Crimes Solvers, Incorporated is a NON-PROFIT organization, owned and operated by a civilian board of directors. Two sworn Police Detectives, are assigned to the unit, their primary responsibility is overseeing the operations of the Crime Solvers Unit. They act as liaisons between the police department, the media and the civilian board of directors.
Other than the coordinator's salary and office space, the funds to operate Virginia Beach Crime Solvers comes from community donations and fundraising events.
Duties of the board also include fundraising, promoting the program, deciding the amount of rewards, public speaking engagements, and networking with Crime Stoppers International and other Crime Stoppers Program.
