POLICE SEARCH FOR VEHICLE INVOLVED IN HIT & RUN
Virginia Beach Police need the public’s assistance in locating a suspect vehicle involved in a hit and run motor vehicle crash. The crash occurred on Sunday, August 5, 2007 at 10:22 p.m., at the intersection of Birdneck Road and the I-264 east bound exit ramp.
Police are searching for a silver or gray Chrysler, PT Cruiser that might damage to the passenger side on the front end and along the side with red paint transfer.
The investigation indicated that a1992 Honda Shadow motorcycle traveling from the exit ramp from I-264 had a green light. It proceeded from the ramp and attempted to make a left turn onto Birdneck Road. The motorcycle was struck by the PT Cruiser that had been traveling southbound on Birdneck Road against a red light. The PT Cruiser then struck the front bumper of a 2000 BMW 323. The PT Cruiser slowed momentarily then continued on southbound on Birdneck Road.
