Cold Case Homicide
On November 2, 1988, shortly after 5 p.m., a 50 year old Virginia Beach businessman was shot to death outside of his business.
Autry Church died of multiple gunshot wounds and was found in the driver's seat of his black Pontiac Fiero in the parking lot of Dirtbusters, a cleaning company at Cleveland Street and Pennsylvania Avenue.
The shooting occurred between 5:15 and 5:30 p.m. Witnesses describe a white male, 5'9 " tall, with a medium build, and dark hair, wearing white slacks and standing near the victim's vehicle after the gunshots were herd.
