Cold Case Homicide
Police are searching for three men responsible for the shooting death of David L. Lamb, 20, of the 1100 block Hillock Crossing, in the Wesleyan Chase area of the city.
Police received a call shortly after 2:30 a.m. on August 14, 1990, when they arrived they found Lamb suffering from a gun shot to the head. He was transported to the Sentara Norfolk General Hospital and was pronounced dead at 6:06 a.m.
Investigators interviewed neighbors and determined that lamb was shot after three men forced their way into his townhouse. Neighbors say that all three men, including Lamb, had lived at the townhouse for less than a year and that the atmosphere there was annoying, with people coming ad going, loud music, many cars and fast driving.
Police are looking for a black male, about 20 years old, light complexion, approximately 5' 6", 140 lbs, with a thin mustache and freckles. He wore a white baseball cap and white shirt. The other two men were also black, but no other descriptions are available.
