Virginia Beach Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a suspect wanted for an attempted robbery and abduction that occurred inside the Food Lion store located in the 4300 block of Holland Rd.

On Thursday, November 2, 2006, at 8:26 a.m., a lone suspect walked into the Food Lion and approached a female vendor at the front of the store. The suspect displayed a weapon and demanded money from the vendor. The suspect forced her over to the customer service counter where the store manager was standing. The suspect threatened to hurt the victims if the store manager didn’t give him money. The store manager fled into the store office and the suspect left on foot.

The suspect is described as a light-skinned black male, 18-20 years of age, 5’11”-6’0” tall, with slanted eyes. It is described that the suspect may be biracial Asian. He was last seen wearing a light forest-colored camouflage jacket, dark pants, black boots that were untied, a black ball cap, and a black bandanna covering the lower part of his face.

No one was hurt during the robbery.
