Cold Case Homicide

On April 22, 1983 at 7:30 p.m. a neighbor found the body of 55 year old Mary Hazel Williams in her apartment located in the 800 block of 17th Street. It was determined that Ms. Williams died of internal injuries caused by blunt force trauma. Witness accounts indicate that she was last seen alive in the early morning hours of April 22, walking on both 17th and 18th Street. Neighbors also heard Ms. Williams voice in her apartment near noon.

Hazel was a 55 year old black female who was 5' 3" tall and weighed 155 pounds. She had shoulder length black hair and lived alone.
