Cold Case Homicide

On Friday , August 12, 1989, at 1:45 p.m., the body of 24 year old Morriel McClain, known as "Bo", as found in his townhouse at 3618 Smokey Chamber Drive in the Chimney Hill section of Virginia Beach. The cause of death was a gunshot wound.

Witnesses described seeing a black male at the victim's home the day before McClain's body was discovered. He is described as black, mid 20s, 6' or taller, with a muscular build and short black hair. He was wearing a dark blue jumpsuit with a round, red and white patch on the pocket and a black or dark blue baseball cap. The man was driving a new model, red Dodge Shadow. Investigators have been able to determine that Mr. McCain was last seen on August 10, 1989 at around 4:00 pm. He is described as 24 year old white black male who had brown eyes and black hair, 6' tall weighing 150 pounds with a moustache and goatee.
