Cold Case Homicide

On Monday, March 1, 1999, at 3:09 a.m., Police and Paramedics responded to the 500 block of Newtown Road after Police Communications received a call for shots fired in the parking lot at that location. A man was found in a car suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported by rescue to the Trauma Center at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.

Investigators learned that the victim left Picasso's Night Club located in the 500 block of Newtown Road around 3:00 a.m. Moments later gunshots were heard outside. Witnesses saw a gold Infinity Sedan traveling out of control through the parking lot. The Infinity struck at least three parked cars before stopping.

The victim has been identified as Roy White, 34, of the 100 block of E. Pembroke Ave, Hampton, Virginia. Mr. White died of his wounds at 10:00 a.m.
