Cold Case Homicide

On Thursday, October 10, 1991, at approximately 1:15 p.m., a postal worker found Samuel Baruch, 34, lying on the floor by a safe in Mr. Baruch's office, located in the 300 block of Birchwood Park Drive.

Mr. Baruch died as a result of gun shot wounds to the head. His 1987 silver Mercury Marquis was missing but later recovered on Sunday , October 13 at about 10:00 p.m. in the southside of the Pembroke Mall parking lot.

The apparent motive for the murder was robbery.
