Cold Case Homicide
On April 30, 1970 at 10:30 am, the body of an unidentified white female infant was found lying at the water's edge at Sandbridge Beach. The cause of death was determined by the Medical Examiner's Office to be asphyxiation. The tidal schedule of the Atlantic Ocean indicated the body could have floated from north of the location where the body had washed ashore.
Investigators are asking anyone with information about the baby or her parents to call Virginia Beach Crime Solvers at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
