Cold Case Homicide

On Wednesday, March 15, 2000 at 12:40 a.m., Virginia Beach Police received a report of a gunshot victim in the 1500 block of New York Avenue. The reporting person stated that when he arrived home he discovered his roommate dead. The victim was identified as 29 year old James Lavier Dejarnette.

The State Medical Examiner determined that Mr. Dejarnette died as a result of a gunshot wound.
